"Bandwidth" is a measure of how much data can travel to your home at any given moment. It is usually measured in Mbps (megabits per second). The more simultaneous users you have, the more usage fluctuates. When you reach the maximum, data packets are placed in a queue or dropped. Gaming, VoIP, streaming TV, etc are sensitive to this which results in "lag". "choppy calls". and video "stuttering". If you have these problems you most likely need to upgrade to a higher package.
